Notified on 4 January 2005, the merger consists of the acquisition of sole control of the company SIC - Sociedade Independente de Comunicação, S.A (hereinafter referred to as SIC) by IMPRESA - Sociedade Gestora de Participações Sociais, S.A (hereinafter referred to as IMPRESA), through the acquisition of the shareholdings held directly or indirectly by the shareholder BANCO BPI, S.A, with which IMPRESA exercised joint control.
