Notified on 13 January 2005, this merger consists of the acquisition by EDP - Energias de Portugal, S.A. (EDP), from National Power International Holding BV (National Power), of a 20% share in the registered capital of its affiliated company, Turbogás - Produtora Energética, S.A. (Turbogás), possibly providing EDP with joint control of Turbogás.
