is a company under Spanish law, the leader of a group of companies that manufactures and markets explosives for civil uses, cartridge pouches and defence equipment; in Portugal it owns SPEL - Sociedade Portuguesa de Explosivos SA ("SPEL"), a company under Portuguese law whose shareholder structure is made up of a group of individuals who occupy technical and managerial positions in the UEE group, the Group of UEE Managers, and of the investment companies Reef Investissements SA (Reef) and Banc Boston Investments Inc. (Banc Boston).

Vista Desarrollo, S.A, S.C.R.

is a venture capital company, incorporated under Spanish law and wholly owned by Banco Santander Central Hispano SA; its corporate object is to acquire and own temporary holdings in the capital of unlisted non-financial companies.
