Notified on 2 July 2008, this merger operation consists of the acquisition, by SUMA - SERVIÇOS URBANOS E MEIO AMBIENTE SA (henceforth "SUMA"), of exclusive control of the undertaking TRIU - TÉCNICAS DE RESÍDUOS INDUSTRIAIS E URBANOS SA (henceforth "TRIU") and its subsidiaries, through the purchase of the whole of the respective share capital.
