Notified on 23 November 2009, this merger operation consists of the acquisition, by Rentipar Seguros SGPS SA (henceforth "Rentipar"), of exclusive control of Global Companhia de Seguros SA (henceforth "Global Seguros") and Global Vida - Companhia de Seguros de Vida SA (henceforth "Global Vida"), which are currently part of the same economic group, by means of the purchase of the shares representing a majority stake in their registered capital and the respective voting rights.
