Notified on 2 November 2010, the present merger operation consists of the acquisition, by the Stryker Corporation ("Stryker"), a US company, of sole control of a set of assets corresponding to the whole of the neurovascular business of Boston Scientific Corporation ("BSC Assets"), a business that produces devices for neurovascular surgical operations. These are marketed in Portugal by means of a distribution agreement between Boston Scientific Portugal-Dispositivos Médicos Lda and Corrmedica - Importadora de Material Cirúrgico Lda.
