Summary of the case

Case opened on 27.10.2005 and subject to a conviction decision of 30.04.2008, for a practice provided for and punished by Article 4(1) of Law no. 18/2003, of 11 June, materialised in a decision of association of undertakings with the object of impeding, distorting or appreciably restricting competition in part of the national market. The AIPL requested and obtained information on the prices practiced by its member companies, by requesting the bread price lists, practiced and to be practiced by them, with the aim of "guiding" the sector in which it operated. The practice was committed between 2002 and 2005. Application of fine: €1,177,429.30
