Summary of the case

In early 2016, MEO executed an MVNO contract with NOWO that enabled the latter to offer mobile telecommunication services in Portugal.

In the context of the renegotiation of this contract, NOWO and MEO, in january 2018, established an anticompetitive agreement which limited the commercial conditions of NOWO’s standalone mobile offers and convergent offers (including fixed and mobile services): NOWO could not offer these services outside NOWO’s footprint and below certain price limits.

In return, MEO committed to improve the price conditions of the MVNO contract with NOWO and to solve operational problems related with that contract
