Notified on 22 July 2008, this merger operation consists of the acquisition, by the undertaking Companhia Portuguesa de Hipermercados SA (henceforth "Auchan Portugal"), of exclusive control of a range of assets formerly operated by the group Sonae Distribuição SGPS, SA, under the names "Modelo de Eiras", "Modelo de Lagoa" and "Projecto de Condeixa" (henceforth, conjointly, "Target Assets").
