In June 2013, the AdC commented the revision of the regulation of quality of service in the electricity sector.
The AdC highlighted that the proposed regulatory review would benefit from a cost-benefit analysis, in order to allow a better assessment of its global impacts. The AdC further highlighted that the assessment of the quality of service of suppliers under the market regime should essentially belong to consumers and to the competitive market regime. It is, however, important to focus the role of the regulator on the supplier switching process and on the publication of information that supports consumers when choosing a supplier.
