The Portuguese Association of Acupuncture Professionals presented to the Competition Authority a “complaint against the Portuguese Government and the Tax and Customs Authority”, following which the Competition Authority, in order to ensure that the delay in the conclusion of the legislative framework initiated with Law No. 45/2003, does not create gaps likely to distort the competition in access to these professions by those who are engaged in these activities, recommended to the Parliament that the regulation of access to the profession, concerning the use of the professional title and the professional certificate to which Non-Conventional Therapeutics professionals are subject, should be promoted, within the scope of its competences.
